"come on Thor, stop playing."
The sound of those words seemed a scream in a church in that ghost town. The lonely streets were a little vreepy at the beginning of Liza's journey, but by then, after so many months of being on her own, with only thor, her huge dog, by company, it was already pretty common and usual to see them like that. they had a van, and she parked it just outside a drugstore. She was already running low on antibiotics, she had been running low on those since she lost her fiancé. she also needed some other personal products that she hoped this place could have. She was looking around, checking if there was a welcoming comettee of Walkers, but it seemed that they weren't there, at least not aware of her immediate presence.
She walked to the door of the drugstore and saw a banner on a window that said that you could go in there to get the flu vaxine. she half smiled and then shook her head, it was funny to think that only some time ago people only had to worry about flu vaxines, HIV and stuff, now the few ones that had survived had to worry about walking corpses that tried to eat their inner organs and bring them to their side. She sighed and grabbed the handle and moved it, the twerk of it made the door open. She made her dog a sign and the dog instantly got into an alert position, then they walked into the place.
She was holding her long machete in her right hand and her flashlight in the other one. She slowly checked the small aisles there was nothing there, spotless. Only the dust that had been covering the floor and the shelves from days and months of no one cleaning them. then she walked to the long counter on the back of the place and breathed deeply, she classed her machete against a metalic shelf a couple of times. Loud enough to make any walker get to the counter if they were in the back, but low enough to keep any walker outside unaware of their presence there.
She heard some growls coming from the back, she could see a back door, it was closed and even had a group of shelves against it to keep it closed. she waited a bit more and then a dead guy who was still wearing his dusty white robe of a pharmaceutic guy walked dragging a foot in front of the other, to the counter. Thor made a low growl and Liza only moved her hand and he shut up. She waited and when the guy was close enough she stabbed the guy's head, right into an eye. then it fell over the counter and she cleaned the machete on the robe. "ok, it seems it's safe now. let's find our stuff and we can leave." she said and jumped over the counter.

Lyric Gray: actions thoughts "speech" ~~~~~~~~
Many would assume the countryside would be sparse of the dead. You'd think they were all in the cities where they originally died, but this was clearly the exact opposite. In cities, while there would be a few surprise hordes, the dead population was kept minimal due to the groups keeping population control. Out in the countryside, it's basically like cows grazing. The roads were rather dangerous to travel on, but this gave Lyric hope. He had started venturing down this way in hopes for some more supplies. Most people wouldn't dare to leave their safety zone, and this, was basically a suicide mission. Still, Lyric was determined to reap the rewards of this risky move.
Aching feet had finally led Lyric to a small town, practically dead. No signs of the living, or the dead.
Most of the dead from here must have traveled out more to the countryside.
Lyric nodded to himself at this conclusion and walked down the bare street, looking in through a few shop windows. Straight down the street he noticed another pharmacy. The one in Houston was a total bust, maybe he'd have better luck here? Not caring to be careful, he pushed through the glass doors and looked about. Gently holding his pistols at his sides, finger on the trigger, ready to blow.
<OOC: I apologize, this work is no where near my best..>

The silence in the drugstore wasn't really something you could think as relaxing, even the extreme quiet reflected that somehting was wrong. Liza kept looking through the shelves for anything that either Thor or her could need in a short or long term. She also found the fememnine products that she wanted, some cramp pills and also other stuff. "Yes!" she thought and then looked at Thor, who was in that moment sniffing into the air, then continued sniffing along another aisle. Liza smiled and then continued.
Suddenly Thor sniffed in the air and growled. Liza whispered his name and the dog jogged to her side. She made a sign of silence and alert and both of them got behind the counter a couple of feet from the walker that she had just killed minuted before. She moved slowly and checked that there was a man standing at the door. "Fudge!! Fudge!!" she thought and sat again next to her dog. She thought of a way to deal with it. He was a living, so it wouldn't work to simply distract him to get out. thor could distract the man, even attack him, but she got a glimpse of his guns, she wouldn't risk Thor like that.
She would have to share... or kill if it was necesary. "Close the door before they hear you..." she said wth a gently, firm voice. still behind the counter, but slowly started moving, rising from behind of it. She wasn't wearing her gun.
OOC: don't worry, usually my average is 200 to 250 words.

River and Emelie had spent the last two days fortifying the house. It had proven to be a royal pain in the butt but they had managed it and the house was more secure then it had been before. Emelie had taken up the guest room that had once been her older brothers room and River had taken up her old room. After finishing the fortifications the two decided that the best way to gather supplies would be to split up. So they did, Emellie comandered a little red sports car and River took her dads old Jeep. Of course they locked the house up tighter than a crabs buttocks first. Leaving the front and back door barred River exited through a second story window and closed and locked the board behind her, They both had a key and vowed to return within three days. They both took a full tank of gas and two fuel cans and went in opposite directions. River honestly didn't know if or when they would be back so she took her pack and anything she valued and loaded it into the Jeep before heading out, Emellie also had the spare key to get in just in case River didn't come back, can't be too careful. River went to the small town just outside of where she grew up, not Bellville but the town just north of it, she had already picked Bellville clean before she even met up with Emellie. The town was quiet, pretty much deserted save for a few dead people wandering here or there. River unloaded her change of clothes and things out of her pack, slung it onto her back and locked the car behind her. Yeah, she wasn't taking any chances. Along with her back pack she had her bow and a quiver full of arrows, her hunting knife strapped to her leg and a pistol in its holster. She first went to the general store. It was pretty deserted but River did a sweep anyway, killed a walker in the store room in the back. After taking out the walker River raided the stock room and found a few cans of vegetables. Back out in the store she found some of her favorite foods, corned beef hash, chicken and dumplings and canned oranges. Shoving her loot in her bag she wandered over to the pasta section and shoved the last remaining box of angel hair pasta in her bag. She found the first aid aisle and dumped a bottle of rubbing alcohol and a box of gauze in there as well. "Will have to check the pharmacy to see if they have any good first aid stuff left." She said to herself. Her next stop was the pharmacy. The front doors were wide open and she thought she saw shadows move inside so she went the back way to the back door and its back stock room. She had to jimmy the locked door with her knife and she made a pretty soundless entry into the shadowed room. Inside was a walker, which she quickly dispatched, and a nearly untouched stock first aid equipment including sterile gauze, tape, peroxide all kinds of ointments. River loaded her nearly full bag and slung it on her back when she heard growling coming from the front of the store. Do walkers growl She thought to herself. She lowered her back pack to the ground and pulled out her bow before she heard a woman speak. Shit! Of course I'm not alone! You need to look through that pharmacy to see if they have anything left useful miss thing. Grow a pair and get out there, maybe she is freindlly. River thought giving herself a little pep talk. She put her back pack back on, made sure her keys were in her pocket and opened the door into the pharmacy with ease, arms raised to show she was no threat. Clothing: Supply RunNotes: Thought I would jump in... I was bored. Hope you don't mind!!

Why was it always like that when you wanted to be left alone, not to see others, for some weid reason in the universe, you simply ended up running into people?! Liza was looking at the man when Thor growled again and that made Liza glance for a second at the door and she looked at that other girl. "Cool... living reunion." she looked back at the man and patted THor's head, the dog calmed down and waited just expectant for an order to either kill the threat or stay by her side. "The dog won't hurt any of you, he is well trained and he is only protecting me... if you hurt the dog you'll be walkers by midnight." She said in a very calm tone, she wasn't threatening, just informing them.
"So... the infirmary... I think we all need stuff from this place, so if we are good grown ups, then we can share and then each could go on their way." she was trying to be polite and mature, they were three, they all needed supplies, so maybe they could share, all what she had lived and she still thought people could be good deep inside. "I'm Liza by the way and the dog is THor." she said as she moved a bit only to have a better look from both other other living humans.
OCC: Sorry the wait.

actions thoughts "speech" +++++++++
Lyric made no attempt to hide his disgust towards the mutt. He wasn't a fan of slobber. As someone new emerged from the shadows, a look of annoyance replaced the one of disgust. Maybe it was even a mixture of both. Saying nothing, he simply shot the newcomer a nasty glare, on the verge of just turning around leaving. Alas, he couldn't. He had a terrible wound that he'd been coping with this past week and it was not getting better. Death would not be far off for him if he did not treat it properly soon.
"Tch.." Lyric snorted as the the girl with the mutt proclaimed that she would kill him with ease if he so much as laid a finger on the dog. He wasn't fond of cocky people, ironic and very hypocritical coming from him. Her statement was overly confident and naive. It could easily turn into a two against one fight and even if the newcomer didn't step up to the plate, Lyric was confident in his ability to hold his ground. His grip tightened on the pistols, jaw clenched. He just oozed annoyance.
Lyric had never been a huge people person, with his easily aggravated attitude but it was much worse now. Spending months by himself has made him even more isolated, and less willing to cooperate among others. "I don't take kindly to threats, even if they are as empty as yours," hissed Lyric. The young man wasn't looking for a fight, though it seemed the complete opposite of that. He just wanted to be handed supplies and on his merry way.

River lowered her hands and chuckled at the 'living reunion' remark. "Unfortunately they can happen more often then every ten years." She said under her breath. The man looked pissed off that he found other living people here and he looked like he might murder them at anytime. The dog made River nervous, she had never been a dog person, always perferred cats over dogs. She rolled her eyes at the mans knee jerk threat reaction. "Okay children. Lets play nice long enough to split supplies and let me leave then you two can have a pissing contest." River said resting her bow on the ground in front of her and placing both hands on top, an open threat of her own. "The name is River by the way.And though I am not fond of dogs I won't touch it let alone kill it unless it attacks me first." She said sassily. Clothes: Supply Run

Liza looked at the man and the girl, she knew that at anymoment it could turn out to be the worst day ever, well not that much, but something like that. The guy was taller than she was and stronger for sure, but if he wanted so bad something from the drugstore, told her he was either sick or injured. And the girl, well she seemed more relaxed, so maybe it was just a small supply raid? She moved her hand at Thor and the dog stood by her side wiaitng for a sign from her. "ok... let's be civilized then. My apologies for my rude introduction, the dog is my world." then she stood aside. "I'm Liza, nice to meet you two. and Thor won't hurt any of you unless you try to hurt me."

River broke into an easy smile, though it didn't entirely reach her eyes, "Nice to meet you Liza, Thor." She said nodding to the dog. "So we are all here for a reason, I am looking for food and supplies, we're out of conditioner, and our angry looking friend over looks like he may be leaking." River said gesturing to the man who seemed threatened by Liza and Thor. "I say if we find any remaining medication in the pharmacy back there we split it, though it seems our angry eyed friend over there seems like he may be partial to the narcotics if any remain." River said crossing her arms over her chest, openly judging the angry young man who had yet to introduce himself.

Liza looked at the woman and the man and then back at the woman. It was nice to see that at least there was one out there who was sti civilized. So when she asked for the same as she had done, she felt a bit more calm. "I agree with you, I've seen some in the back. And if our angry friend needs help, i can stitch and bandage pretty well" needed basic training as a cop.
OOC: sorry short. But though better short than nothing.
